According to E! Online, Selena thinks it's OK for celebs to discuss their opinions when it comes to politics.

"A lot of people do look up to certain celebrities and will follow in their footsteps," Gomez told me earlier today, adding, "I think you just have to be aware of what you're saying."

What do you think, should celebs express their opinions when it comes to politics, or just shut up?

okay, so carrie underwood is cool and all, but "i lose respect for all celebrities who back a candidate?"

I think Carrie's right.(oooooo I said it)Whenever a celebrity makes a remark about their favorite political candidate,someone has to be up in arms about it.I think it's best for a celebrity to quietly support the left or right side(republican or democrat(sp?).Just because Selena says something doesn't mean everyone has to get on their knees and agree with her every word.
